How to Care for Decorative Pet Collars

Store it dry and separate

Wipe a decorative collar with a soft dry cloth after use, especially after a warm day or a portrait session. Store it flat or loosely curved in a dry pouch, away from direct sun and humidity.

Avoid sprays, perfume, household cleaners, salt water, chlorinated water, and prolonged moisture. These can dull finishes and affect elastic, thread, or hardware over time.

Inspect before every wear

Look over the closure, thread, beads, and adjustment points before putting the piece on. Retire it from wear if anything is loose, cracked, sharp, or no longer sits correctly.

A decorative collar is not a substitute for veterinary care, behavior support, a walking harness, or a safety identification collar.
